We will start your 8 day desert tour from Tangier to Marrakech via Chefchaouen & Fes by picking you up from the airport/port or from your hotel in Tangier. If you arrived in the morning we will explore the city of Tangier; Visit the Cave of Hericule and Cap Spartel where you can see the Mediterranean sea and the Atlantic ocean in the same time, then head to Chefchaouen. Overnight in a hotel/Riad.
After breakfast in your hotel, we will start the second day of this 8 day desert tour from Tangier by exploring Chefchaouen, known as “blue city” or blue pearl of Chefchaouen. This city is a fabulous destination for photographers, due to its white and blue washed walls, we will have a walk inside the medina to enjoy the beautiful buildings of this city. Overnight in your hotel.
After breakfast in your hotel, we will start the third day of the desert tour from Tangier by heading to Volubilis, discover the roman ruins, Then travel to Meknes, where we will see the fascinating gate Bab Mansour built by the Sultan My Ismail. Also visit the Sahrij Souani before we continue to Fes. Dinner and overnight in your Hotel/Riad.
After breakfast in your Riad, we will start our visitation of Fes, the oldest city of Morocco, and one of the four imperial cities. We will spend most of the day in the old part of Fes ( the medina ) walking in its narrow streets. Visit the Royal Palace Gate known for its golden gate, your visit includes the University Of Al Quaraouyine, the oldest existing. After lunch in a traditional Moroccan restaurant in the medina, we will visit the famous Tanneries and the Jewish quarter before we go back to your Riad. Overnight in your Riad.
After breakfast, we will pick you up from your riad in Fes around 8:30 am, then start our Fes desert tour to Marrakech. Our first destination will be Ifrane, called also Switzerland of Morocco, for a short walk, then continue our tour, in Azrou we may catch a glimpse of the Barbary apes. Lunch will be in Midelt. Then continue our trip to Merzouga, where we will find an experienced camel man and camels waiting to carry us across the fabulous Merzouga Erg Chebbi Dunes, for around half an hour to reach the camp. Spend the night with locals under the stars.
After breakfast in the camp and camel trek back to Merzouga, we will start our explorative day of Merzouga desert, driving through the desert on a 4×4 vehicle. We will also have an opportunity to visit a nomadic family close to the borders between Morocco and Algeria before we head to the village of dark skinned people, originally slaves from Sudan, listen to Gnaoua music and experience their lifestyle. Overnight in a hotel/riad.
After breakfast in a Riad/Hotel in Merzouga desert, start the sixth day of this desert tour from Tangier. We will start the journey to Dades Gorges via Rissani, the foundation of the current ruling family and the place for caravan routes during the old ages, we will have a stop here before we leave for the Todra Gorges, where we will have a walk under the 300 meters high cliffs. Arrive in Dades Gorges at evening, dinner and overnight in a Hotel/Riad.
We will start the last day of the 8 days desert tour from Tangier by driving from Boumalne dades to Ouarzazate for visiting the Atlas Studio. After the visitation, we drive to the famous Ait Ben Haddou Kasbah, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, it’s a perfect location for numerous movies such as Lawrence Of Arabia, Gladiator and the famous one is Game Of Thrones, and many more. After lunch, we will go towards Marrakech through the High Atlas Mountains via the Tizi ntichka pass (2260 meters). We will have a stop in a panoramic view for pictures.
